Returns & Exchange policy

What is your return policy?

At a:musé, we believe in creating a better tomorrow for a more productive and happier you. Our candles are designed with the principles of positive psychology and daily accountability to help you achieve your goals. That's why we offer a 1-month money-back guarantee. If you don't feel that our candles have positively impacted your productivity and happiness, simply email us and we'll arrange for a full refund.

Kindly include your order number, which complete product(s) you are looking to return and the reason.

How should I pack my return?

Packing your return is easy! For candles, simply ship back the full-size, unlit and unused candle back in the kit they arrived in.  
If your a:musé mailer is in good shape, please reuse it to ship back your kit. If it is damaged or torn, feel free to use a standard cardboard box. If you do use your own outer shipping box, we ask that you use a protective filler to make sure that your kit is returned safely and undamaged. 

Shipping policy

Can I change my shipping address?

Shipping addresses cannot be changed once the order is processed. We will only ship to the address provided to us when originally placed.

Where do you currently ship?

We currently ship to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, United States of America,  United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain & Sweden!

We also offer free shipping on orders of 80 (€/$) or more.

If your country is not listed on the list we are working hard to expand our shipping capability, send us an email and we see what we can do!

After I place my order, how long until I receive my order?

Orders typically take 2-3 business days to process and for our team to ship out to you! 

If using free shipping, orders can take up to 5-7 business days to arrive. After placing an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your order details.

You’ll receive a subsequent shipping confirmation with tracking info once we ship.

Can I cancel or update my order after checkout?

After I place my order, how long until I receive my order?
Due to our fulfilment and ordering process, we can’t promise that updates or cancellations can be made to your order, but we will do everything we can to try! If you need to update any information or wish to cancel your order, email us at hello@amusecandles.com as soon as possible.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express,Paypal and Discover. 

 

Product Information

Are a:musé candles natural and clean?

We use a high-end, hand-poured blend of natural Slovenian Beeswax and soy wax made completely without paraffin. Our candles are formulated to the same industry-clean standards and are non-toxic, which means no phthalates, parabens, formaldehydes or endocrine-disrupting ingredients (amongst others).

We also use wooden wicks that are designed to promote clean burning and limit mushrooming at the base.

Our candles are 100% hand-made in Slovenia, which allows us to ensure the quality and claims behind our candles.

How long do the candles burn for?

Each full-size candle ( 220g / 7.7 oz) is designed to perform and burn for 35-40 hours.​

How should I care for my a:musé candle?

To get the most out of your candle and to ensure an even burn, allow the entire surface of wax to melt (2-3 hours) the first time you light your new candle.

During the burn, try to limit each burn to a max of 4 hours, make sure the container is on a suitable surface, and keep it away from drafty areas.

In between burns, trim your candle wick to 6mm or ¼” in before lighting. This will help reduce smoke, maximize your candle’s burn time and reduce tunnelling.

In regards to safety, make sure to keep your candle's surface and wax pool free of debris. Never leave your candle unattended and do not leave your candle lit for more than 4 hours. 

To extinguish the candle, it is recommended that you use a lid or a snuffer to avoid smoke and any splashing of liquid wax. Once the flame is extinguished, check the wick is upright and centred.

Your candle should be retired when there is about 6mm or 1/4" of wax left. Remove the remaining wax. 

This is when the second life of the candle begins: the ceramic containers can be kept and used as you see fit, as a flower vase, brush or pencil pots, tealight holders...

Can I see an allergens list?

Of course! Just send us an email at hello@amusecandles.com with a specific allergen or ingredient you are looking for, and one of our friendly support team members will get back to you right away!

 

Once a scent sells out, will you ever get it back in stock?

Our scents are all limited-release, however, we may periodically restock certain scents in the future. We recommend stocking up on your favourite scents before they’re gone!
